Sold to a close friend, spring 2019.
Dimensions: Length 20 inches, Width 15 inches, Height 25.5 inches, Weight 10 pounds. I can imagine this one-of-a-kind piece in a living room, den, office, or bedroom. It serves a function with a little flair. $125.
I found this simple table in an alley in my Glover Park neighborhood of D.C. It was painted a plain white but had become a little dingy. Overall, just boring. I stripped and sanded the paint on the top and the legs down to raw wood, stained them dark brown, and applied three coats of Minwax water-based clear satin Polycrylic. To add some bling, I used mastic and grout to attach complementary glass mosaic tile to the rails (purchased in a couple of square sheets from Home Depot). That was the tentative plan, and I confirmed it when it turned out that the tiles fit perfectly without having to trim any of them. A sign from the upcycling gods?
